Hello from Kayakoy,

Not far from Fethiye is located the ruins of Kayakoy. Once was a lovely Greek village, it is now a ghost town.  All the residents were expelled in 1922 after the war with Greece to set the final Turkish boundaries. I took a day trip over to the area and tromped around the shells of once prosperous homes now full of anguished silent whispers of all the Greek families forcibly removed after the Turkish-Greek War mutual exchange of populations.

Peace,
Fred L Bellomy
