Hello
from
Mozambique
From Nelspruit in South Africa I ran over to Maputo
Mozambique on the Indian Ocean for a
couple days to work out
transportation up the coast. The city reminds me a lot of other former
Portuguese colonies I've visited. As I spent only three expensive nights
here and found no cyber cafes, my PenCam stayed in its candy wrapper case.
Night travel by bus has been discontinued in the country due to many
serious road accidents. That means buses stop wherever they happen to be
around eight o'clock and people are expected to "sleep" in their
seats until dawn. All of the soft living for the past month has made me
reluctant to accept such "hardship" and I jumped on a bus back
to Pretoria to re-think my travel options. With so little time in the
country I didn't bother to take any photos.
