Syria - Palmyra ruins.
Syria - In the Palmyra market where merchants and diplomats cornered me for
consultations.
Minox-B "spy" camera I used while traveling during the last millennium. It
is a beautiful piece of German technology and a pleasure to fondle.
Unfortunately, the resolution of even snapshots is not very good. The
chain/lanyard contains beads used for precisely measuring distance to secret
documents the agent is trying to photograph!

Hello from Palmyra Syria,
Great conversation with a woman doctor who spoke English on the bus between
Damascus the Palmyra, much to the consternation of other veiled women sitting
nearby. My informant told me few females would talk to any non-family man,
little lone a foreigner, but she explained to them her exemption because of her
profession and they reluctantly stopped frowning at us.
Peace
