Took advantage of my seven days in the city for some
more medical procedures at the great and affordable
Bumrungrad Hospital... where patients may use the $28 Residence
rooms like their vacation hotel. As it has been a decade since my last
colonoscopy, I made an appointment with a Dr. Ming to perform the
procedure. I also used some of the time to explore the famous "computer
city" called
Pantip here. On the eighth day I bussed up to the old provincial
capital of
Ayutthaya.

worshipers leave offerings at the shrine and light incense sticks
creating the haze seen in this picture.
Bangkok Thailand: Entrance to the infamous
Pantip Plaza "Computer City." Here six stories of a huge mall are
crammed with small shops selling all manner of computer stuff...
including hundred of places with illegal pirated commercial
software. There are nearly as many Americans shopping here as Thais.
