15 November  2005

Hello from Machu Picchu,

I took a lot of photos during my short visit to this World Heritage Site. To keep the postcard page of a manageable length, the bulk of the photos have been moved to this auxiliary page.

All of the trains from Cuzco to Machu Picchu Pueblo (the new official name for Agua Caliente below the ruins) leave early in the morning and don't arrive until the afternoon.

Fred L Bellomy

Machu Picchu Peru: Machu Picchu Pueblo sits at the bottom of a gorge where twilight struggles with the still sun lit mountains around it.
